Grogu, often referred to as "Baby Yoda" or "The Child" by fans, is a prominent character introduced in the Disney+ streaming series, The Mandalorian. He first appears in the premiere episode, "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian," released in 2019.
Grogu belongs to the same species as Jedi Grand Master Yoda, though he isn't actually a baby version of the character, Yoda, himself. He is approximately 50 years old at the time of his introduction, but his species ages much slower than humans. Grogu exhibits a strong connection to the Force.
